Stac v. Microsoft (1993, USA)
Stac v. Microsoft is a 1993 court case in the USA which Microsoft lost and was required to pay US$120 million for its wilful infringement of #4,701,745 (a compression software patent).
The software at issue was Stac's Stacker and Microsoft's DoubleSpace.[1]
