Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is an engineering organisation.
There is a policy group, called IEEE-USA. This group lobbies for software patents in on behalf of IEEE.
IEEE also publishes a magazine, IEEE Spectrum,[1] which has published articles endorsing and articles criticising software patents.[2]
