Matsushita v. Justsystem ruling by Tokyo District Court on 1 February 2005
(Redirected from Justsystem v. Matsushita (2005, Japan))
Justsystem Corporation v. Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Heisei 17 (NE) 10040 (2005), Japan. Or, using those companies' newer names, JustSystems Corporation v. Panasonic.
In February 2005, a Tokyo District Court (CHECKTHIS) found JustSystems to be violating a software patent of Panasonic on help functionality in the Ichitaro word processor because it is indirect infringement of Article 101, Subparagraph 2 of the Patent Law. But, on September 30, 2005, the then-newly formed Intellectual Property Court overturned that ruling.
Can you help? This article should probably focus on the September 2005 IP Court case, right? That would include renaming the article.
