Win-win?

Is "win-win" the term I'm thinking of? It doesn't really make sense. The myth described is more of a "no one loses" scenario than a win-win scenario. Do people use the term erroneously or am I mis-remembering the term?

A similar term I'm trying to think of is along the lines of "it's valuable because it's patented, not patented because it's valuable". This description isn't very related, but must remember to thinking about it while I'm racking my brains about exact wordings... Ciaran 13:00, 27 September 2012 (EDT)
