Apple v. Samsung 2011 lawsuits worldwide overview
In Spring 2011, Apple filed patent lawsuits against Samsung in various countries, which were responded to by counter lawsuits, leading to the situation in 2013 where the two companies were involved in patent litigation against each other in more than 50 countries.[1]
