In the USA, no tweeting emergencies
The police in Australia can use Twitter for emergencies,[1] and government ministers in the UK are encouraged to use it for crises[2] but if TechRadium's patents are upheld, emergency procedures in the USA will have to begin with a request for permission to use these patents:
- US 7,130,389
- “digital notification and response system”
- US 7,496,183
- “method for providing digital notification”
- US 7,519,165
- “method for providing digital notification and receiving responses”
